You may have read in the Sunday Mail (January6) about Laura Daly a young girl footballer with East Kilbride Girls FC who wrote to the Paper reccomending her coach Mrs Angela Henry her team coach for a grass roots award. The full story can be read on the Sunday Mail website. We would like to offer our congratulations to Angela for her dedication to her Club and we have it in good authority that in fact she has won this award and will be prsented with her unsung hero's award at a gala dinner at Hampden on January 31. Congratulations Angela from all at Clubs for Young People Scotwest.

This you may remember is a similar award won by Mr Jim Hodge of Kilwinning Sports Club who won the Sunday Mail's Unsung Hero award last year and was third overall in the same category in Britain where he represented Scotland at the BBC Sports Personallity Awards.

As our Chairman and I both stated in our annual reports presented at our AGM on January 18 we do have some excellent people working within our member clubs and this would only add proof to that fact.
