CYP Scotwest sponsors this Festival, the following is our foreword from the programme:
"On behalf of CYP Scotwest it is my great pleasure to welcome all parents and other visitors from the South West of Scotland to this, Galston Boys Clubs 10th Annual Seven A Side Football Festival.
As someone who has been involved with youth football for over 20 years I know how much hard work goes into making a Festival like this a success. I am sure you will join me in thanking the Galston Boys Club Committee for giving all their valuable time and effort into making this an enjoyable occasion for both players and spectators alike.
Organising a weekend such as this, that involves 66 teams and 660 players is indeed a massive undertaking and I would ask you to join me in congratulating Galston Boys Club for taking on such a venture. A Festival of this nature would not be possible without the interest and financial support given by the sponsors and I would like to thank all those who have supported the Festival this weekend.
As the organiser of activities for Boys' & Girls' Clubs (G.S.W.S.) it is my duty to carry out our aims, which is to promote the Physical and Spiritual Welfare of boys and girls in Scotland and in promoting this Festival I am sure will go a long way to doing just that.
Finally I wish the organisers and all those taking part in the festival weekend every success and hope that the occasion will be one to remember."
